How Much Does It Cost?
The ESA letter is $150, now $100 for new patients through November 30.
That price covers the letter. A standard psychiatric evaluation comes first, and we take insurance or self-pay at our regular rates.
Can You Write an ESA Letter?
Yes. After your evaluation, you receive your ESA letter the same day.
How Fast Will I Get My Letter?
The same day, right after your evaluation.
Do I Need an Appointment First?
Yes. Every letter follows a clinical evaluation, so we meet first. No referral is needed to schedule.
Can It Be Done by Telehealth?
Yes. Your evaluation can be done by video anywhere in Florida, or in our Miami office. Your letter follows the same day.
Do I Need to Renew It?
Many landlords ask for a current letter each year. We can see you again and update yours.
Housing & Travel
Where Can I Use My Letter?
For housing: apartments, condos, townhomes, HOAs, rental homes and college housing, including buildings with no-pet rules.
Does It Have to Be a Dog?
No. Cats, birds, rabbits, fish and other household animals can all be emotional support animals.
Can My Landlord Charge Pet Fees?
No. Florida law says you can't be charged extra for an approved emotional support animal. You're still responsible for any damage it causes.
Will My Landlord See My Diagnosis?
No. Florida landlords can't ask for your diagnosis, and your letter doesn't include it.
Do Online ESA Certificates Work?
Not on their own. Under Florida law, an ESA certificate or registration bought online isn't enough by itself. Your letter should come from a licensed provider who knows you.
Does It Work for Flights?
Some airlines do. Since 2021, U.S. airlines decide for themselves whether to accept emotional support animals, and some still accept them with a letter. Check your airline's policy before you book.
